			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>All over the world, there is a concerted effort from different sectors of the government to enact stiffer anti-smoking laws due to the overwhelming evidence that cigarette smoking causes lung cancer and other serious diseases.  These laws are also being made to deter the proliferation of second hand smoke that causes serious diseases and premature deaths in both adults and children.<br />
There is no more question regarding the veracity of the ill-effects of cigarettes to people who smoke as well as to those who do not smoke. Second hand smoke is a proven cause of lung cancer and heart disease in non-smoking adults. It is also blamed for the so-called sudden infant death syndrome, low birth weight, acute respiratory infections, ear infections and asthma attacks in infants and children. It is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in the United States of America each year.<br />
There is no risk-free level of exposure to second hand smoke. Every exposure has substantial and immediate adverse effects on cardiovascular and respiratory health. Each cigarette actually contains more than 50 carcinogens.<br />
It is about time that a comprehensive smoke-free law is enacted that will be applied to all workplaces and public places. Comprehensive smoke-free workplace policies are the only effective way to protect non-smokers from second hand smoke. Other approaches, such as the installation of air ventilation systems and the setting-up of smoking and non-smoking sections of rooms are not effective and do not not eliminate chances of exposure.<br />
Contrary to what the critics are saying, the laws protect the health of the general public without harming the business sector. Evidence from peer-reviewed studies shows that smoke-free policies and regulations do not have an adverse economic impact on the hospitality industry.</p>
<p>With this report, all arguments and excuses not to take action are eliminated. Many research and hard economic data have revealed that smoke-free laws do not harm sales or employment in restaurants and bars. In fact, they sometimes have positive feedbacks, such as what happened in Singapore after the law has taken effect, business receipts for bars and restaurants increased, their job employment rose, and the number of liquor licenses increased. This happened despite the fact that most establishments complied with the law, and the great majority of Singaporeans supported the law.</p>
<p>Even the corporate world has joined the bandwagon by maintaining smoke-free workplaces and providing a specified area for smoking. Some countries, states, provinces, territories, and districts have adopted full smoking bans inside restaurants and bars. Second hand smoke, or passive smoking, is a major preventable cause of death. Since smoking hurts more people than just smokers, smoke-free laws need to be upheld at all times to protect everyone&#8217;s right to breathe clean air.</p>

<p><strong>Step 1: Nutritional Supplements </strong></p>
<p>In my opinion, they are very necessary and very beneficial- especially when combined with healthy eating habits. It&#8217;s very difficult to get all the nutrients your body needs through food alone, but combining proper nutrition with nutritional supplements is very powerful.</p>
<p>That being said, the one supplement everyone should be taking is a good multi vitamin/mineral. Look at it as added insurance- eating well is crucial, but now that you&#8217;re also taking a multi, you can rest assured you&#8217;re getting the nutrients your body needs.<br />
<strong><br />
Step 2: Nutrition </strong></p>
<p>Good nutrition is SO important. You are what you eat&#8230;remember that. Make a conscious effort to gradually improve your eating habits, eating more of the good foods (nuts, berries, peanut butter, olive oil, greens, chicken, whole grains, etc.) and less of the bad foods (fried food, saturated fat, fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, etc.). Reading the label of what you&#8217;re eating will tell you a lot.</p>
<p>You may think you lack the needed will power, but you&#8217;ll be amazed at what happens when you start to gradually improve your eating habits.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3: Exercise </strong></p>
<p>Exercise is the missing piece of the puzzle when it comes to better health. There are so many benefits of exercising, including stronger bones and improved libido- it&#8217;s a no brainer to start doing it. Your goal should be to exercise 3-5 times a week with a combination of cardio exercises and strength training (but no more than 1 hour per workout session).</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been measured that if you add 3 pounds of muscle to your body, this added muscle will burn as many calories as if you ran 1 mile. Muscle burns calories!</p>
<p><strong>Step 4: Stress Management and Sleep </strong></p>
<p>Stress management and getting good sleep each night round out your path to better health. Until you find a way to manage your stress, it will continue to do damage to your body. Two tips you might want to implement include prioritizing your day each morning and practicing deep breathing exercises. Or you can go for  a massage. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You&#8217;re hungry after a busy day at work, itching to get home to see your family, and now you&#8217;re stuck in traffic. Frustration sets in. But you&#8217;re used to it since this is an every day occurrence.</p>
<p>So you finally stroll into your house and your children are clamoring for your attention, and they&#8217;re hungry too. You pop some frozen dinners in the microwave knowing full well they&#8217;re not healthy, but also knowing that you just don&#8217;t have time to think, much less cook. After a quick dinner, your day&#8217;s not even close to over.</p>
<p>Now it&#8217;s time to do laundry, read with the kids, and of course a day&#8217;s work left over from the office. When do you have time to rest? At night you keep telling yourself.</p>
<p>But every night it&#8217;s the same old story. You flop into bed past 1 AM and close your eyes. Your mind is still racing from the day that just passed and the busy day ahead. So you toss and turn, hoping that you&#8217;ll be able to get at least a little shut-eye before your 7:00 AM wake up call.</p>
<p>And the next day it starts all over again. You&#8217;re tired at work, you don&#8217;t have time to eat, you&#8217;re stressed, and you can&#8217;t get out of the vicious cycle.</p>
<p>So what do you do?</p>
<p>First thing&#8217;s first: take a deep breath. You&#8217;re probably stressed out just reading this far.</p>
<p>To get a more restful sleep tonight do the following:</p>
<p>1) Get a notebook and take 5 minutes right before laying down to free write. What you want to do is get every thought from the past, present, and future out of your head and on paper where it&#8217;s safe and secure. This will free the clutter from your head and allow you to rest easier.</p>
<p>2) Get a new alarm clock that wakes you up gradually with classical music. This will do absolute wonders for your morning routine. What you want to do is set the alarm to go off 15-20 minutes earlier than you usually wake up. It will turn on very quietly and slowly bring you out of your slumber.</p>
<p>3) Add a few very healthy snacks to your daily routine. One of my favorites is a 2 oz pre-packaged bag of baby carrots. They taste good, they&#8217;re good for you, and they take no prep-time. When you&#8217;re hungry at work or on the way home, munch on these. Another great snack is raw almonds. Eating healthier works<br />
amazingly well to help you sleep better.<br />

<p>Ok. All kidding aside, lets dig into exactly what a foot massage is.  The foot massage is usually connected with the idea of reflexology,  which is a form of therapy that focuses pressure to the reflex points in  the body in order to treat aches, pains, and discomforts. Yet, a good  foot massage is in itself different than foot reflexology. Through  reflexology you can help treat aches and pains at random. However, a  good foot massage focuses much more specifically. Its goal is to relieve  the tired foot’s discomfort and allow the receiver the ability to walk  away feeling brand new.</p>
<p>A good foot massage requires more than just a good set of strong  hands. To give a good foot massage you will need a few big towels and  some foot lubricant. The lubricant will help tame those stubborn  calluses and help relax the foot.</p>
<p>First, it is important to wash the foot. Feet seldom get the careful  attention as hands do. Also, keep in mind many people have very ticklish  feet, so precede with caution and avoid any sudden movement.  Next, you  may begin by using your thumbs to rub the sole of the recipient’s foot  in small circles. From there you may work your way from the heel to the  balls of the toes. Last, you will want to focus on each individual toe.  Placing each toe in-between your index finger and thumb gently begin to  rub each toe, stretching pulling gently as you go.</p>

If you’re lucky and happen to know someone or have a  regular therapist you work with, you still have to schedule an  appointment. After you call and set the time you’ll have to get back  into your car and drive to therapist’s office.</p>
<p>In today’s world most of us want instant gratification and have  limited time in our hectic life. If money was no object most of us would  get a massage every week, or possibly two or three times a week.</p>
<p>Let me pause here for a moment. It is very ironic that I would be  writing an article about massage recliners because I am a certified  massage therapist. As a therapist my first goal is to help the client  get healthy. Sometimes I refer a client to a chiropractor or to an  acupuncturist that can better serve the clients needs.
